In the movie Kudumbam oru Kadambam, Omakutchi would have done a comedy with Visu. Talking about Visu, I feel that he is a very very intelligent filmmaker. Here I have mentioned Visu in present tense. Although Visu passed away during the Pandemic second wave, I believe he continues to live through his films Anyways let’s come back to the comedy.
There Omakutchi will ask Visu…..Sappitacha meaning have you eaten. Visu will reply what difference does it make. If I have eaten and say that I have not eaten. Or if I have not eaten and say that I have eaten. On the surface it may seem as a trivial question.
But it has got a deeper meaning. Only those persons with genuine interest in your welfare will ask ‘Sapitacha’. It shows the genuine concern they have for you. I feel ‘Sapitacha’ or ‘have you eaten’ in English is the most deep and meaningful question you can ask anybody if you have genuine concern for them. That's all folks, have a good one.....!!!
